About this site

This blog is not just a creative diary or a statement of my personal believes on environmental issues. It is as well a conscious attempt to raise awareness, to inspire others and hopefully change our collective habits of over consumption and waste.

On this site you can find some of my reuse projects, creative ideas, links to other web-addresses,   ideas  on how to influence other people’s behaviour towards greener habits and may be something else.  Let’s see.

About me:

I have a confession to make:

I am an addict. I am obsessed.  With textile design.

I indulge in my creative impulses and cravings with the passion of an addict. Just can’t resist. (Not that I ever tried.) My life is an endless love affair with textiles and fibres – sewing, knitting, embroidery, weaving, spinning, and lately even upholstery, buttons and basket making.

Well, no one is perfect, right?  Even me 🙂

Another one of my just few personal flaws is that I  dislike waste and over-consumption. Just can’t stand it. On the basis of them being stupid,  ineffective, disorderly and basically opposite to optimal. The war against entropy and waste has been my personal mission in this world for as long as I can remember.

Recycling, I have come to realise,  is just another form of waste  and another excuse to over-consume. This is why I am focusing on Reuse.

These two obsessions led me through a succession of hobbies,  all involving reused textiles, fibres and other materials. I am saving the world one reused object at a time. And I am enjoying it enormously.

And finally about you:

I hope you find inspiration for your own reuse projects here.  You are welcome to leave a comment if you would like to. Or ask questions.

If you would like to use information or immages  from this site, please ask for permission. It’s very likely it would be given 🙂

I would appreciate if you could provide more Reuse information and links to other web-based sources,  inspirations and communities with similar goals.

Happy surfing! And don’t forget to enjoy the trip. Life is short. Let’s not waste it.
