And they lived happily ever after

2 Nov

After the champagne, the wedding cake, the party and beautiful flowers, the kisses and the million smiles there is only one thing left – a once-pretty wedding dress. All frills and silk, organza and silver, pearls and sequens. Sad and alone. never to be put on again.

But not this one!

It came back in disguise. Shiny, elegant, luxurious as ever. In the form of white-and-silver bed cushions.

I have saved and repaired as much of the elaborate pearl embroidery as it was possible and it now adorns the most beautiful bedroom cushions I have ever seen  – she said humbly : )

Actually, it isn´t just me – the wedding cushions were chosen to take part in the annual exhibition of salvaged, upcycled and reused art at the Brisbane Reverse Garbage shop. This year it was called ¨Materialistic¨.
